About us:
Avenues Parkinson is a 200-place service educating children from 6 weeks to 6 years, across 10 rooms. Our service is very multicultural, with numerous nationalities represented in the staffing and families who attend our service. Our philosophy encourages play based learning to develop the whole child while developing skills that each child will carry with them throughout their lives.
As the Lead Educator you will be supported in your role by our non -contact educational leader, to ensure the best outcomes for each child are reached.
The position:
Avenues Parkinson is seeking an experienced passionateLead Educator to join our team in our nursery room. The successful applicant needs to be able to work as part of a small team in a room alongside our non-contact educational leader to provide our children with rich and meaningful educational experiences, while being flexible and having the best interests of the children at heart. The successful applicant needs to be committed to make constant improvements not only in their practices but as part of the whole centre too.
We believe in having consistency for our families, children and staff alike and require staff who can work 5 days a week, (Monday to Friday), doing the same shift each day, which changes each term (must be able to work any shift between 6.30am to 6.30pm for a 7.5-hour shift).
About you:
- Able to work 5 days a week any hours between 6.30am to 6.30pm (7.5-hour shift per day) is a must.
- Able to read the cues of the children and respond in a timely manner.
- Able to be flexible to mee the needs of the children.
- Have a nurturing personality.
- Hold a diploma in Children’s services.
- 2 years’ experience.
- Hold first aid and CPR.
- Hold a current blue card.
- Have a good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- A desire to make the room your own.
- Able to follow policies and procedures.
