Duties include:
- Supervision of nursery teams and activities including planting, grafting, fertigation and delivery of plants.
- Liaison with other teams including packing and maintenance.
- Ensure quality of nursery work.
- Identify and report on disease or plant pest
- Ensure the safe and correct handling, transport and storage of chemicals
- Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest and diseases
- Implement growing programs
Skills/Qualifications and Experience Required for the Role
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a glasshouse nursery environment, preferably with experience in tomato plant propagation.
- A good knowledge of tomato crop nutrition, pest and disease management and growing strategies.
- Proven ability to monitor the seedlings and mursery environment, identify and investigate issues and make timely reports and recommendations.
- Good understanding and ability to use relevant glasshouse management systems including Priva.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively lead a team.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Be outcome focused with a track record of achieving performance, quality and safety targets.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills;
- Good IT skills including the use of MS excel and Outlook.
- Commitment to WHS, quality, hygiene and food safety.
Salary: $63,000-$65,300 p.a. plus super

Our tomatoes are grown 365 days per year in one of Australia’s largest and most advanced glasshouse facilities, located at Guyra, in the beautiful New England Tablelands region of NSW.
To accommodate our continued business growth, a $67 million expansion project has been completed, increasing our production area by 33% and creating an additional 150 jobs onsite. This expansion project brings our onsite operation to 40ha of glasshouse, 2.5ha propagation nursery, 2 large packing facilities and over 800 staff.
