The Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.
Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within Paediatric medicine to join us as a Nursing Director (RN5.2) working on an ongoing basis, in a full-time capacity.
Some duties of the Nursing Director will include:
- Collaborating with Level 3/4 Nurse Consultants/Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high performance against KPIs and safety measures.
- Leading the evaluation of current service models and implementing efficient, culturally sensitive, and person-centered care processes.
- Working with Nursing Directors and other senior staff to foster a learning, safety, and quality improvement culture within the Paediatric Medicine Division.
- Supporting nursing/midwifery functions within the Division and liaising with key stakeholders under the guidance of the Advanced Divisional Nursing Director, Paediatric Medicine.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible for a current practicing certificate.
- Have effective leadership skills, including communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
- Have effective engagement with consumers and communities for service development/change.
- Demonstrate flexibility, innovation, and creativity applicable to hospital settings, particularly in nursing/midwifery services.
- Be Proficient in using computers and relevant Information Technology.
- Ability to manage according to safety principles and legislative requirements.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 5 years of post-registration experience.
- Experience as a leader or manager in healthcare.
