In this role the successful candidate is responsible for the efficient management of the nursing and other relevant staff under their delegation and coordination of the provision of nursing services within a community setting. Leading the nursing staff, ensuring effective liaison between all health professionals and responsible for the environment, work, and health and safety management in the program /clinical stream. Clinician engagement and leadership has been a prominent feature of the public health system for a number of years, where clinician led clinical standards, safety and quality improvements have become a major focus. The LHD is committed to the strengthening the ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement, and evaluation of health services.
