Occupational Health Nurse officer requirements
· AHPRA registered nursing capabilities within scope of practise
· Previous Occupational Health clinic experience
· Appropriate record keeping
· Handling corporate enquiry regarding fitness for work
· Rail AHP accredited duties according to the National Standard for Rail Safety Health Workers
· General nursing duties as required including and not limited:
o Immunisations, wound management and assisting in procedures and treatment
o Immunisation – testing, performance of, advice regarding, administration of and record keeping
o ECG
o Spirometry
o Venepuncture and blood collection
o Audiometry
o Vision testing
o Wound care
o Blood, urine sampling
· Urine drug screen and specimen collection as per requirements of the particular assessment being conducted
· Assisting with Fitness for duty assessments
· Liaison with company representatives and site medical assessments
· Drug and alcohol testing as per the requirements of the assessment being conducted
· Employer liaison and site work at some locations including health assessments
· Other duties as requested from time to time within scope of practise
