About us:
Our Mental Health and Substance Use Service offers community-based support, running intervention-focused groups and delivering relapse prevention programs at the McAuley Centre, Mater Mental Health, Waratah. We also provide individualised programs. Typically a two-week process, we are now streamlining to a one-week process for greater efficiency. We are currently undergoing an exciting transformation, and we have a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join us and be a key part of this journey.
You'll be supported by a multidisciplinary team, including two senior nurses (CNS2) within our group. We offer a comprehensive orientation package with a buddy system, providing supernumerary days, participation in group activities, and thorough assessments. Our robust orientation includes both written materials and practical observation, where you'll first observe and then be observed.

While experience in mental health nursing is preferred, we welcome candidates who align with our team's values and are eager to learn and grow in their career.

Our in-reach service connects inpatient and community mental health with the broader Mental Health Service, offering specialised and nuanced care
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and facilitating group sessions
- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments
- Performing in-reach evaluations
- Guiding family interactions
- Coordinating holistic care plans

Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
