Position Overview:
The Occupational Health Nurse in Australia will report to the Australia and New Zealand Health and Safety Manager, this is a permanent full time role.
It will based in Goulburn Regional NSW.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Pre-Employment, Periodic and Health Surveillance Medical assessments;
- Early intervention - Intervene early knowing the warning signs, preventable workplace injury/illness.
- Administering Immunisations (if you are a registered Immuniser).
- Manage Injury Management - Return to Work programs
- Workplace assessments and recommendations
- Scheduled travel each month to our facilities in Regional NSW.
- Conducting Drug and Alcohol Testing.
- Collecting Blood Serology and Pathology samples.
- Conducting Neurological, Skin, Respiratory, Musculoskeletal and Cardiovascular Medical Assessments.
The Occupational Health Nurse will educate our workforce on the prevention of accidents/ near misses, injuries/illnesses and identifying risks through workplace assessment and providing recommendations to reduce incidents. You will also have the opportunity to drive and improve initiatives that support the overall wellbeing of the workforce through a range of programs and strategies.

You will be a people person, a clear communicator and enjoy dealing with our workforce. Have a passion for promoting health and wellbeing initiatives and influencing safe practices. - Relevant qualifications with experience as an Occupational Health Nurse within an organisational environment. (Ideally farming and processing environment)
- Current AHPRA practicing certificate free from restrictions, or the ability to obtain AHPRA registration
- Proficient in English, with a professional communication style in both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of workers' compensation legislation, as well as best practice claims and injury management principles (desirable)
- A high level of autonomy and expertise in delivering programs across multiple departments and sites
- High attention to detail
- Able to build rapport with workers and medical practitioners / providers.
