Job description: The primary activities of this position is to manage day to day medical centre activities, to provide early intervention and management of illness and injuries and complete other duties as required. Key Accountabilities Assist Medical Coordinator with effective patient care, patient review and injury management and provide assistance to the Emergency Services team as required. Conduct daily patient reviews Ability to identify and escalate non-work related medical events and commence appropriate assessment and treatment to provide patient-safety outcomes.

  Understand the use of prescription medications and their effect on fitness for work in high-risk roles. Understand the pre-existing co-morbidities of workers and their impact on fitness for work. Communication with Medical Services Providers Injury Management Plan creation and effective patient care Off-site patient transport if required for escalation of treatment Liaise with external medical services – emergency doctors, occupational physicians, hospitals, RFDS, etc.

Participate and complete periodical health assessments on current employees Complete health assessments and assess suitability for ERT applicants Complete…
