Job Description

SGS has a great opportunity for a Occupational Hygienist to join the team in Perth.

Duties include however not limited to:

• Undertaking field observations and occupational hygiene assessments
• Conduct Hazardous material inspections
• Conduct Indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring
• Preparation of technical reports and hazardous management plans
• Provide governance in health and hygiene related incidents and IH monitoring results exceedances investigations, manage their records and provide the necessary recommendations/actions (Engineering and Administrative controls, PPE management) to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
• Monitor the progress on the implementation of the required controls by managing the related NCRs raised in the SGS Incident Management Software (Crystal).
• Maintain the Global Industrial Hygiene software (ProcessMap).

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Full Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists or;
• A tertiary degree in chemistry or engineering and provisional AIOH membership or;
• An equivalent competency under an international certification scheme (for example - Certified Industrial Hygienist).
• Completion of the AIOH Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene course or equivalent.
• National Police Clearance.
• Full Australian Driving Licence
