As an Occupational Therapist you will:
Work collaboratively with the local Area Manager/Manager to deliver holistic, placebased and trauma-informed occupational therapy services
Provide specialist occupational therapy expertise and advice for customers requiring home modifications, transfers, tenancy management or housing assistance
Work closely with allied health service partners to flexibly deliver services to customers on[1]line, by telephone or in person with a focus on safety, service excellence and quality outcomes
Contribute to the design and review of new accessible social housing properties
Provide a consultative service to CHDE staff and other agencies about the housing needs of customers who have a disability, long-term health condition or who are ageing
Demonstrate leadership by modelling and fostering professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviour
Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning workplace health and safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations
Prepare and maintain high quality reports and customer records consistent with departmental and professional requirements
Contribute to professional development, research, team planning and decision making and the continuous improvement of policies and practices
Have the opportunity to supervise students and mentor new staff
Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
