Description of the Job Role
The Principal Clinical (Occupational Therapy) is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services to clients with a disability using a specialist approach to assist participants in building capacity and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide evidence based, person centred occupational therapy assessment, management, and intervention to people with a cognitive, physical, or psychosocial disability in line with NDIS goals.
Manage a caseload of NDIS participants in their natural settings who may present with increasing complexity, multiple co-morbidities, and functional limitations across multiple areas of their life.
Assess the need for modifications to home and other environments accessed by people with a developmental, intellectual, or physical disability.
Assess the equipment needs of NDIS participants in relation to daily activities including sleeping, sitting, safe transport, and personal care.
Represent ClearSky and assigned NDIS participants at NDIS planning and associated meetings in matters associated with Occupational Therapy.
Use occupation assessment checklist(s) and follow prescription requirements and processes when prescribing or recommending equipment.
