Occupational Therapist | Animal Assisted Therapy Focus

This exciting opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist passionate about animal-Assisted Therapy.

Join this team and provide therapy services to NDIS participants, incorporating the therapeutic benefits of animals.

You will work with clients with disabilities, improving their quality of life in various settings. Enjoy beautiful office spaces and a travel radius of 15 minutes from the clinic.

This position is based in the Northern regions of Perth, where you will enjoy the newly established clinic with a sensory room. They offer great working arrangements with full-time and part-time options available.

The Role

• Opportunity to work with paediatric caseload 
• Conduct a range of assessments and planning for evidence-based interventions
• Provide high-quality and accurate reports
• Carrying out NDIS functional assessments including home assessments, fall risk assessments, skills assessments, development of individualised plans, equipment assessment recommendations, and application and goal setting and planning
• Conditions include but are not limited to autism spectrum, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, global developmental delay, intellectual disability, fragile X syndrome, learning disability, sensory processing disorder, and acquired brain injury

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Full APHRA registration 
• Working With Children Check 
• National Police Check
