About you:
Due to growth and to meet increased demand, we are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist who demonstrates initiative and a strong desire to deliver a service tailored to individual needs.
This role requires a problem solver who is client focused, positive outcome driven and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
Based in our Bendigo office, this is a full-time ongoing role with flexible working arrangements negotiated with the successful applicant.
Goals of the position:
- Deliver tailored therapy sessions or assessment using evidence based best practice to meet client needs.
- Design, review, monitor, assess and evaluate treatment programmes.
- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement within the service.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and liaise with Allied Health Team Leader to plan quality improvements.
- Provide participant driven therapy services to participants in their home and community environments, focusing on personal goals, including recommendations and tracking participant progress.
- Liaise with external services, such as other health professionals, NDIA related entities, family members, educational staff and community members, to provide individualised support plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy
- Must have an empathetic disposition, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the NDIS and relevant disability legislation including working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
- Must have a NDIS Worker Screening Check or be willing to obtain one.
