What You Will Be Doing
The Allied Health Outreach Team Grade 1Occupational Therapist assists eligible for services under the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP) and older people under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) by providing comprehensive home assessment, and specialist recommendations regarding assistive equipment and home modifications; holistic client and carer support and education.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
Essential -
• Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA).
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• A strong interest in working with clients in their home and/or community environment.
Desirable -
• Registered prescriber with SWEP (State Wide Equipment Program) and GEAT (Goods Equipment and Assistive Technology).
• Confidence in working with the Australian Building Standards and providing technical drawings.
• Experience with home visiting and environmental modification.
