John Hunter Children's Hospital functions as an autonomous facility with its own management structure and independent clinical support functions. The Children's Hospital provides clinical experience relevant for both family practice and specialty training. It has 114 inpatient beds including general and sub-specialty paediatrics, paediatric surgery, adolescent medicine, neonatal intensive care and a Level II nursery.

- This part-time role is ideal for those wanting work-life balance through part-time work. This position will see you working as part of the experienced team at John Hunter Children’s Hospital. Our Occupational Therapy Team are supportive, innovative and make work an absolute pleasure!
- In this role you will plan, implement, evaluate and provide evidence-based Occupational Therapy services for children and their families/carers.
- In this role you will focus on younger children who are both inpatients and outpatients of the service, requiring both developmental assessment and intervention in the areas of feeding, infant development, and broader goal attainment.
- We look forward to embracing Clinicians with targeted clinical experience that will contribute to the goals of the service.
- In this role you will strengthen the relationship between children, parents and carers to ultimately enhance the child’s development, well-being and health outcomes. You will identify and act on continuous improvement in clinical practice and develop and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 3 years full time clinical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the supervision needs of students and/or less experienced staff.
