If you answered yes to the above, then the Therapy and Recovery Service (TARS) is looking for you. TARS is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Occupational Therapists to work as part of our highly skilled and specialised multidisciplinary team for the SWSLHD Liverpool and Fairfield MH service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing outpatient assessment and interventions with consumers with complex MH needs. They will participate in care planning, multidisciplinary meetings and the TARS group program to ensure MH consumers accessing TARS are supported from a recovery based and nurturing environment.
You will have access to supervision from senior Occupational Therapists in the district, continuing professional development and educational opportunities whilst working alongside experienced and highly skilled staff! This is the prefect position for Occupational Therapists looking to start out in NSW Health or change their area of practice.

What You'll be Doing
Provide a high quality occupational therapy service to clients and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation and separation of patients/clients in a multi-disciplinary setting. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Evidence of knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence based practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Mental Health
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
