About the Role
You will provide specialist occupational therapy services to consumers in the Acute Inpatient Service, including support to our group program that runs 7 days a week. You will engage, support and provide appropriate interventions with consumers presenting with complex needs, as well as proving support to their carers.
- Plan, implement and evaluate ward programs on the AIS.
- Provide high quality occupational therapy assessments and intervention.
- Participate in clinical review processes and team activities.
- Contribute to the Recovery of the consumers in the AIS utilising the Strengths Model of Care
- Provide development/education sessions for multi-disciplinary staff and external stakeholders
The classification range for this position is Occupational Therapist Grade 2 YB20 - YB23 ($86,304 - $99,210 per annum)
Your Contribution
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Occupational Therapy Board of Australia registration (AHPRA)
- A current Victorian driver's licence
- Evidence of knowledge, skill and professional development in the recovery approach to adult Mental Health rehabilitation
- Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About the Mental Health Team
St Vincent's is proud of its International reputation in the delivery of Mental Health Services and the use of the 'Strengths Model' and its principles. The Mental Health service includes a 44 bed adult acute inpatient unit which provides care for people living in the cities of Yarra and Boroondara; the Koori state-wide Inpatient Mental Health Service; and a wide range of community teams providing care based on individual needs.
