Role Summary
The Occupational Therapist at Carinya of Bicton is responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining purposeful activities for residents through initial assessments, care planning, and developing therapy programs. The primary goal is to enable residents to achieve their maximum potential and live as independently as possible within the facility. You will work under a supportive management team and collaborate with a group of like-minded professionals who share common goals.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assess and evaluate occupational therapy needs, developing care plans that support residents' independence
- Contribute to the implementation, review, and evaluation of occupational therapy care plans
- Monitor, analyse, and evaluate services to measure progress and ensure the effectiveness of interventions
This role is located at our charming residential aged care facility in Bicton and we are happy to consider hiring this role on either a permanent full time or part time basis, tell us what you're looking for!

The ideal candidate will excel in building and delivering person-centered care that respects the resident's choices. They will possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain meaningful relationships with clients. Additionally, they will demonstrate a commitment to being a productive and positive team player, contributing to a homely, healthy, and happy atmosphere at the facility.
Key Criteria Includes:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in residential aged care is highly regarded but not essential
