The Role: As the Occupational Therapist you will liaise with management as a consultant, to set up a designated space and participate in the development of the Occupational Therapy department. You will be supported in facilitating the growth of the department and providing the management team with your expert advice on how to continue improving our service delivery.
- Participants are predominantly 15-25 year of age living with complex disabilities
- Opportunity to help to develop a new branch of a business
- Mixed on site and wfh options with negotiable and flexible hours, possibility for 3 days
- You will provide quality Occupational Therapy services to individuals and their support networks; including assessment (initial and ongoing as required) treatment, individual and/or group-based programs, education, report writing and support services.
- Identify, organise, plan, implement and evaluate evidence- based support services for our participants
- Provide continuous improvement and planning processes for the OT Team
- Offer input on strategies to build the participant base and services
- Provide relevant feedback on ways we can improve dedicated spaces, equipment required and/or strategies to improve overall service delivery
- Work closely with Support Coordinators, NDIS/NDIA Planners to identify and appropriately manage participant needs.
- Support the development and implementation of processes and protocols for the NDIS and other organisations as required
- Ensure that clinical service delivery records and funding applications meet all requirements of the NDIS
You’ll be driven and show genuine passion for building capability within your specialism. In addition, you:
- Possess strong practicing OT experience preferably within Disability/Aged/Community Services or Healthcare sectors
- Enjoy working with a high performing group of colleagues and peers and accept responsibility and accountability
- Possess a high level of integrity, passion and reliability
- Possess at least 2/3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within NFP/Disability/Aged/ Community Services sectors
- Demonstrate excellent written and spoken business communication skills, including facilitation skills
- Sound analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Have and maintain Registration registration with Australian Health Practitioners’ Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
