Job description

About us:

Horizon Allied Health is a provider of paediatric and mental health occupational therapy services, We have been around for over a decade and keeping things simple is preferred.

In this job advert you won’t find a fancy video or website of how big we are, the number of staff we have or retreats our staff attend.
Our employees are our most valued asset. Investing in our staff and having clear career pathways whether these evolve organically or forged specifically is important to our company’s growth and for service excellence.

We do not have a revolving door of OTs passing through the practice.

We are a stable team of Occupational therapists with most of our OTs, working at the company for several years.

We value our great company culture that we have built, and would like you to join us, but if joining a large company with lots of bells and whistles is something that appeals to you then (this is probably the last thing I should be writing when advertising a job) we may not be a fit for you.

About the role:

Are you a new graduate Occupational therapist with less than one year experience or are you looking for an OT role in 2025?

Do you have an interest in working with learners at a clinic and within their natural environment or;

Do you have an interest in working with youth and adults with psychosocial challenges impacting their daily living skills?

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Occupational therapist to join us on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week) or full-time basis. The  Therapy Centre is located in Laverton North near the corner of Leakes Road and Leveret Road, within 20 km of Melbourne CBD. The centre has lots of parking, and its central location makes it an easy commute to the suburbs of Point Cook, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Truganina and Tarneit and is easily accessed via the Western Ring Road (M80) to the neighbouring suburbs of Deer Park, Yarraville, Foorscray, St Albans and Sunshine.

In the role, you will participate in a 12 month program designed to provide opportunities to assist you with the transition from student to clinician.  Clinical supervision will be provided by a Senior Occupational Therapist. Ample opportunities to shadow your supervising Occupational Therapist will assist you to settle into the role and grow your clinical skills and experience. Our graduate program and clinical roles do not involve working with a mixed caseload.
