Role Description:
Blue Fox Health is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a subcontractor. As a subcontractor, you will provide person-centred clinical support to our participants and collaborate with our team to deliver quality care. The salary for this position is based on experience and will range from $100 to $145 per hour (depending on experience).
The position is to Work From Home. However, you will travel to participants' homes for interventions. Travel time is paid. The position is listed as Brisbane; however, we welcome any applications from the Brisbane Region from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of NDIS participants, considering their individual needs and goals.
- Conduct home visits with NDIS participants (you will be paid for travel time to and from your home)
- Develop and implement intervention plans, including therapeutic strategies, assistive technology prescriptions and assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management notes and write reports on participant services.
- Liaise and collaborate with participants' families, medical practitioners, and other allied health professionals as required.
- Stay updated on NDIS policies, guidelines, and referral processes to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to participants.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in line with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia's guidelines.
- Take responsibility for managing your own schedule and appointments, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current Australian driver's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with participants and stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent knowledge of the NDIS framework, including policies, guidelines, and referral processes.
- Willingness to obtain a police check and work with children's clearance.
