This role of an Advanced Occupational Therapy Assistant is a perfect opportunity for a motivated person who enjoys working with people to support them in achieving identified goals under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. You will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting new service established to support people in their transition home post hospital admission.

Skills and experience:
Demonstrated ability to provide an advanced range of patient interventions as delegated by an allied health professional.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with a good understanding of your own scope of practice.
Demonstrated personal time management skills including the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities and the ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required.
Delivers work of high quality, validity and accuracy.
Generous remuneration package value up to $90,110 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $73,861 to $78,977 p.a. (CA4)
Annual leave with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
Certificate IV - Allied Health Assistant or equivalent is required.
Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
Experience as an Allied Health Assistant in an Acute Hospital and previous experience in leadership and supervision of staff would be well regarded.
This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
This position is required to work on weekends on a rostered basis as part of the Occupational Therapy Weekend Service.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
