The Position:
Working as part of our centre-based clinical team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Behaviour Analysts, these roles will suit someone who is currently studying towards their Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy. It will give you the opportunity to apply the skills you are studying in a supportive environment of experienced therapists while making a significant difference in the lives of children with autism and their families. There is the potential to transition into a full-time permanent role on graduation.

- Location: Bald Hills (Strathpine)
- Fixed Term Part-Time with potential to transition to permanent on graduation
- Provides highly skilled, autism-specific, early intervention within the AEIOU framework for children with autism aged from 2 to 6 years
- The clinical team specialises in teaching children play and social skills, self-care skills, foundational learning skills, functional communication, and adaptive behaviour skills.
- Your role will work within the Occupational Therapy discipline helping to implement a range of evidence-based intervention.
- There will be opportunities to be involved in reviewing intervention plans, setting new goals with support, and developing your documentation skills.
- You are motivated to learn how to effectively support young children with autism to live their best lives,
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy
- Willingness to learn Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) specific techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and families
- Have your COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (double-dose) or have an exemption
- Have a current Paid Blue Card (or able to obtain before commencement)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check required
