Job description

Ongoing full-time or part-time role (min 22.5 hours per week)

Be valued, supported and appreciated at work!

  • We trust you to do your job (even when no one is looking!)
  • We value true work-life balance & employ great authentic people
  • We say thank you & have your back when you need it

If you just nodded along yes to the above, read on!

Due to ongoing business growth, we're on the lookout for a new Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead to join our team!

As a Clinical Lead, you can be based in any of our 6 therapy team regions, Albury/Wodonga, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Warrnambool or Western Melbourne.

A Clinical Lead plays a vital role in providing mentoring and clinical support to current and new Occupational Therapists within our therapy teams (and our OTs have a broad range of clinical experience spanning 3 to 25+ years at last count!).

Holding the neurology portfolio, you’ll join our passionate OT Clinical Lead team, and bring your experience with community-based clients to help us continue to deliver our high-quality services. A particular interest and experience in progressive neurological conditions and knowledge of support networks across Victoria is highly desirable.

As a mentor, you're clinically knowledgeable but with a desire to learn more about Occupational Therapy along with your mentees. Collaborative conversations are your jam – unpacking clinical problems, brainstorming and finding solutions to support our therapists, to support our clients, to live their best lives.

You will also be integral in ensuring we’re providing a quality service supported by the latest evidence-based innovations. This includes supporting, building and maintaining the clinical capacity of our therapy team members to work with certain client groups, facilitating the transition of evidence to practice and with support from the Clinical Director, exploring quality and research projects – to be able to do things even better!

This role does include a small, manageable clinical caseload.

If you’re coming to us from the public health sector, we provide additional onboarding support to leaders who are transitioning from public health into the private sector (see we have your back!).

NOTE: At this time, we are unable to sponsor candidates from overseas for this position.

About our leadership team

We’re not your average allied health provider. Allied Therapy Services is led by local people, from our local communities, who are real allied health clinicians. Through great leaders and a team-based culture, we are committed to building the capacity of our organization emotionally, culturally and clinically and we'd love you to join the ride!

About your new role

As a Clinical Lead at Allied Therapy Services, your day could include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to our team of therapists. This may be over the phone, on Teams or catching up for a coffee if practicable!
  • Identifying the needs of the clinical team then planning and developing resources to assist them.
  • Working collaboratively with our Clinical Director and Clinical Lead Team to work on strategic projects to ensure the highest quality services are delivered across Allied Therapy Services.
  • Engaging with evidence-based opportunities and resources, and keeping the team updated with best practice standards
  • Meeting with and providing clinical support to new team members.
  • Facilitating peer-to-peer support sessions on Teams
  • Taking part in leadership team meetings or our leadership development program.
  • Popping out to see your clients either at their home or in the community to help them achieve their goals.
Join our team and you’ll enjoy;
  • Working for a well-established, community-based Allied Health provider with a strong referrer base ensuring a consistent & interesting mixed caseload of clients.
  • Regular and easily accessible day-to-day support provided by our wider Leadership & Management Team.
  • A genuine focus & value on work life balance. Family friendly & flexible working arrangements.
  • An amazing team & organisation culture. We strongly value team culture and focus on building teams who value one another and who enjoy working together.
  • A broad & growing range of assessment, therapy & reporting resources & tools.
  • Professional development opportunities & support, plus access our in-house clinical podcast.
  • Reasonable, achievable & flexible billable expectations.
  • Leadership Learning and Development programs to support and allow you to grow as a leader.
  • Cloud-based clinical & communication systems.
  • Full admin support.
  • The everyday tech to do your job; a laptop and phone.
  • Travel reimbursement and leave loading of 17.5%.

Minimum role requirements

  • You have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • You have a General Registration with AHPRA
  • You have a current Australian drivers licence and a reliable vehicle
  • You have a minimum of 7 years (or equivalent) demonstrated work history as an Occupational Therapist, working with clients who live with a neurological condition or physical or cognitive disability or are experiencing age-related changes.
