The successful candidate will work in a job share arrangement to lead and coordinate the MHU team, including contributing to and maintaining oversight of operational matters in a highly dynamic environment. This role also involves working closely alongside other OT Coordinators to support the OT Manager in implementing strategic initiatives towards achieving organisational and departmental goals.The MHU has undergone major redevelopment and is opening its doors to a new facility with a capacity of 102 beds, including new youth and older adult units. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the growing MHU OT team, leading and contributing to the OT service development across the inpatient Mental Health setting.About YouTo succeed in this role, you will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with proven experience in an acute and/ or inpatient Mental Health setting. - Demonstrated ability to provide assessment, intervention and evaluation of people with Mental Health diagnosis within an MDT, in an acute Mental Health setting with a minimum experience of 3-5 years
- Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to lead program development in response to organisational need
- Proven leadership and high-level problem-solving skills, with a solution focused approach
- Demonstrated understanding of the complex requirements and operational challenges of the services within the Mental Health portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to lead/contribute to quality initiatives/service improvement activities and projects
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
