Experience / Qualifications:
- Experienced Oilfield Inspector BHA, fishing tools, drill pipe, directional drilling tools and handling gear
- AINDT or equivalent MT and PT Level 2 certification
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail, high standard of inspection required
- Always follow and adhere to safety procedures and requirements
- Manual driver's license C class
- High Risk QLD Forklift ticket preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude is a must
- Shows initiative in the workplace and an affirmative approach to all work tasks
- Ability to safely use and operate hand and power tools
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
- Conduct NDT testing on BHA and Drill Pipe to applicable standards DS-1, API RP7G-2, Manufacturers standards
- Prepare and compile inspection reports and raw data information in a timely manner
- When required, go to rig sites to conduct inspections.
- Disassembly, washing and preparation of drilling tools for inspection
- Assist in the servicing and cleaning of drilling tools
- Ensure tools are kept presentable and ready for rental.
- Loading and unloading trucks, preparing paperwork as required.
- Perform service checks on company equipment
- General yard and workshop duties including cleaning/housekeeping to maintain high levels of health and safety.
- Carryout general administrative duties, including reporting, logistics, paperwork, and other computer work as required.
