AddressMakekadi Mining Services are a family-owned and operated Company based in Young NSW. We have a fleet of Bulk Haulage Tippers delivering Grain & Fertiliser and civil construction projects along the East Coast of Australia.
Our fast-growing business is currently requiring a Logistics Coordinator / Allocator to assist our Transport Logistics Manager. This position will be full time and located in our Young Head office.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling approximately 10 trucks and drivers
- Arranging drivers and trucks within RMS regulations, Mass, Fatigue Management, and WHS guidelines.
- Complying with Heavy Vehicle National Laws rules and regulations
- Administration duties to plan and coordinate activities of operational requirements and truck drivers to ensure compliance
- Liaising with Clients and drivers regularly to ensure all requirements documents are collected & within guidelines
- Data entry of freight documentation to ensure compliance, correct pricing, load information, timesheet, and effective productivity.
- Ensure driver’s qualifications and inductions are completed to prevent delays
- Assist with completing driver inductions, load restrain audits, mass verifications, driver assessments, and work alongside the compliance team.
To be successful in this position you will require:
- 2 years experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential (training will be provided for suitable candidate)
- Competent knowledge of driving hour regulations is desirable
- Competent knowledge of WHS is desirable
- Competent in mass and dimension requirements is desirable
- Knowledge of CoR and supply chain regulations is desirable
- Computer literacy with a focus on Microsoft suite including word, excel and outlook
The below qualifications are highly regarded
- Certificate III in Transport & Logistics
- TLIF0006 – Administer a Fatigue Risk Management System
- TLIF0005 – Apply a Fatigue Risk Management System
Hours are typically 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday plus any after-hours phone calls are to be taken. Additional hours may be required from time to time.
