About the Role
As the customer base continues to grow and expand throughout Australia, Liebherr Maritime Cranes Division is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time OEM Crane Technician. Reporting to the Technical Manager this role is responsible for Field Service work on all types of maritime cranes including harbour mobile, ship, gantry cranes and reach stackers etc. You will be primarily based in Port Kembla and Sydney with a requirement to travel from time to time in Regional NSW or throughout Australia, in order to perform your duties.
The role is hands on and practical, ideal for someone who is motivated and eager to promote the Liebherr brand and lead the way as best in class.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul maritime cranes
- Major and minor services
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems
- Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation systems and components
- Routine maintenance, repairs, and component replacements
- Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
- Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentation
About you
- A relevant certificate III/IV or equivalent plus at least 2 years of experience, alternatively at least 3 years ofrelevant experience.
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required
- Capable of working independently in the field, problem solving in various situations.
- Extensive Crane industry experience
- Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
- A current driver’s license
- Forklift, W, T, R and Air conditioning ticket advantageous
- Commitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
