Owen Mohan Funerals plays a vital role in the local community by guiding and supporting families in the region during the challenging times that follow the loss of a loved one.
We are currently offering a full-time position for Office Administration and Funeral Support. The ideal candidate will possess a caring and understanding nature, embodying our values of empathy, compassion, respect, professionalism, and excellence.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting funeral operations administratively
- Operating the main reception desk
- Providing information via phone to individuals grieving for funeral services
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including fulfilling legislative requirements
- Assisting funeral directors
Applicants are not required to have prior experience in the funeral industry but must demonstrate:
- Emotional intelligence and adherence to the organization's values
- Strong interpersonal skills and impeccable personal grooming standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
- The ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Compliance with WHS practices
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google applications (Sheets, Gmail, Docs), and PowerPoint or similar software for audio-visual presentations
- The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
