Gleeson Agencies was established in 1976, Our Company has a wealth of experience in the field of pricing and labelling equipment. We ensure that all enquiries regarding pricing guns, date guns, thermal barcode printers, tagging equipment, Queueing Systems, cash register rolls and all customer needs are answered with the best interests of the customer always in mind. We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join our team located in our office in Stepney with ample parking.
This is an exciting opportunity for a person looking for a part-time role and would suit a high-calibre individual with excellent people skills and a "can-do" attitude.
We are a small team, so for this role, you will need to be able to also cover the morning shift from 9am in the event that there is someone on sick leave and will need to make your best effort to work the whole day. Full days will also be required to be worked when other employees have Annual Leave booked off. Extra hours will be paid for all extra hours worked. Obviously we understand if prior engagements have been pre organised.
As the business grows, there may be an opportunity to increase hours if desired.
Please note that there is a small dog (Maltese-ShihTzu) in the workplace who is part of the family here at Gleesons.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- General reception duties including answering phones, meet and greet customers, incoming mail, taking messages etc.
- Fulfilling customer orders
- Picking warehouse stock (light weights)
- Maintaining an accurate filing systems
- Sending customer statements
- General office tidiness, ordering stationery and office/kitchen supplies
- Willing to learn various aspects of the business and become an all-rounder
- Paying Supplier Bills
- Checking incoming payments from customers
The person we are seeking must be proactive, have the ability to work under minimal supervision and be able to multitask and prioritise workload in a small team office environment.
It is essential that the candidate is loyal, reliable, honest and trustworthy and possesses the following attributes:
- Basic mathematics
- MYOB knowledge would be a distinct advantage
- Must be able to multi-task
- Touch typing is essential
- Microsoft office skills in Word, Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, 'can-do' attitude
- The ability to remain calm in busy times
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills
- Have initiative
- Be able to think outside of the box
- The ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Be a fast learner and willing to learn new skills and be adaptive
- Have initiative in quiet periods

Hours of work: Permanent Part Time employment 12pm-4pm Monday to Friday, 4 weeks annual leave, Superannuation and 2 weeks annual sick leave.
This part time package is $30k plus Annual Leave, Sick Leave & Superannuation & extra hours are paid if required to come in to relieve other sick employees and Annual Leave.
