Within our company we have a wholesale and retail business involved in the manufacturing and installation of water treatment appliances.

About the role:

Waterways Australia Pty Ltd is seeking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team at our Clovelly Park office on a fulltime basis for an immediate start.

Reporting to the Managing Director directly, the role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the administrative functions of the business, ensuring all duties within your scope are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

  • Weekly Payroll including Single Touch Payroll Reporting to the ATO
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • BAS and PAYG preparation and submission to the Company Accountant
  • Preparation of EOFY Accounts together with the Company Accountant
  • Financial data entry
  • General Ledger maintenance and reconciliations
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of weekly project reporting
  • Assistance with HR, insurance and building administration
  • Maintaining and ordering office supplies
  • Paying overseas transactions in foreign currency 
  • Manage the daily administrative operations supporting our project team

 About You:

To be successful in this role ideally you will possess qualifications in accounting supported by proven experience in all facets of bookkeeping. You will have the ability to work autonomously while supporting a small team. 

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in a similar position (minimum 2 years proven experience)
  • Experience with MYOB   **Essential**
  • Experience with basic MS Office software including excel, word and outlook 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of organisational skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Diploma or degree in accounting
