We have an opportunity for a Space Coordinator to join our Canberra team based at our lively, multi-levelled space in Dickson. This isn’t your typical office job – it’s a chance to get creative through coordinating our community events, moving around the space keeping it looking great, covering the reception, completing admin tasks and supporting the team in creating an exceptional customer service experience for our members.
With no two days the same, we are looking for someone who is adaptable, self motivated and someone who can take direction. You'll be moving around the space on your feet most of the time, so this role may suit someone with a background in retail, hospitality or in a similar fast paced role. This is an exciting challenge for the right person who is keen to hit the ground running whilst working in a team environment.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Cover the reception when required and provide a warm welcome to everyone using our space
- Support receptionist with admin tasks and directing emails to members
- Coordinator tours, appointments and visitor day passes
- Show people through the space
- Plan and coordinate community events held in our spaces
- Order event and meeting room catering
- Interact with members and respond to requests
- Create newsletters and space signage using Canva
- Organise and distribute mail and parcels
- General errand running
- Instagram posting
- Set up offices ready for rental with Space Leader
- Admin tasks using Office 365
- Update notes on our CRM
- Update logs (such as parking and access)
- IT/WIFI troubleshooting
- Printer set up for members
- Occasionally support our Space Runner with other tasks such as meeting room set up and keeping space tidy
What we would like from you:
- Show experience in a similar fast paced environment such as hospitality or in a retail setting
- Have ‘hands on’ approach to tasks and be comfortable with being on your feet most of the day
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Work well individually but also in a team environment to get tasks done efficiently throughout the day
- Be self motivated and resilient
- Have an eagerness to learn and 'can do' attitude
