Due to our continued growth and focus on building and growing capability in Western Australia, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the Western Australian business unit as part of the Executive Leadership Team.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – APAC, the General Manager – West will oversee the regional implementation of business strategy, focusing on growth, risk management, cost efficiency, and cash flow.
The General Manager – West will be accountable for:
- Integrating with the broader business to enable sustainable growth within diverse commodities including critical minerals.
- Identifying key strategic business opportunities to mature the market share focus on commodity and energy transition.
- Cultivating sustainable business growth whilst building people capability. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to a highly skilled and experienced team to execute the business strategy effectively.
- Strengthening and building on the existing culture and continue fostering its evolution and growth.
- Leading, planning, directing, and coordinating the delivery of engineering services to external and internal clients, with a focus on cost, time, and quality.
- Actively supporting the delivery of Projects through provision of engineering services.
- Leading and managing tactical planning for opportunity pursuit and negotiation to ensure the business achieves their order book growth targets premised on sustainable contracts in accordance with the CIMIC Group governance framework.
- Lead by example to create a culture focussed on client relationships, innovative solutions, commercial discipline, and health and safety excellence.
You are an experienced leader demonstrating the following qualities:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree or a post graduate degree in a related field.
- 15+ years’ experience in engineering, project development and project management specifically within the resources sector.
- Extensive experience in the leadership of engineering and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects through both EPCM and EPC execution models.
- An exceptional leader and have demonstrated experience in managing and leading multiple teams while nurturing a strong organisational culture.
- Strong commercial acumen. You have solid experience in Profit & Loss (P/L) management, commercial contracts, and negotiation.
