A permanent part time position is available for an experienced administration officer with an inner Brisbane northside Meals on Wheels centre. This is a busy office with client and volunteer interactions so very good communication skills are essential. Proficiency in MYOB or similar is required and bookkeeping experience would be preferred.
The position includes : data entry on our Meals on Wheels specific program, client interviews and data entry into My AgedCare, client invoicing, ordering, kitchen liaison, client menu organisation, induction and liaising with volunteers and organising volunteer rosters.
A component of this position includes selecting and packing meals into eskis for delivery and doing delivery runs when necessary. Doing delivery runs is an essential part of the training procedure which not only makes onboarding clients easier to understand but also enables the applicant to be able to meet clients and form a personal relationship with them.
The successful applicant needs to have good computer skills, current drivers licence and have own car. A First Aid Certificate would be advantageous. Food Safety training will be required.
The position will be 24 hours per week but it will initially require 3 - 4 weeks training of 5 days per week, 6 hours per day. Leave entitlements will be in accordance with Queensland Meals on Wheels Enterprise Agreement.
