The Australian Bureau of Statistics is looking to fill a temporary APS 6
Office Services Manager role for seven months. The successful applicant will work out of our office located in Sydney CBD (44 Market Street). Due to the nature of the role it is expected that the successful applicant physically attend the office at least four days a week.
What you will be doing:The National Property &
Office Services Section supports various operational tasks in the Sydney Office and assists with property and
Office Services national programs.
Responsibilities include:- workplace health and safety administration
- facilities management
- emergency management
- office security
- logistical support for statistical programs
- on-boarding, induction and separation of office staff
- being a contact point for staff and visitors/contractors
- involvement in some section national programs; particularly security, diversity and inclusion.
What we are looking forThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate most of the following skills, qualities and experience:
- Work Health and Safety experience
- ability to maintain team cohesion and ensure quality of outputs for the work area
- ability to liaise with internal clients and stakeholders providing a proactive, results oriented and outcome focused service
- ability to work in a geographically dispersed team
- ability to make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, under limited guidance
- ability to work with independence, subject to limited direction against established priorities.
