THE ROLE
Based in Carnarvon at our Lake Macleod operational site, the primary role of the On-site Medic is to provide medical support to injured workers, manage the site clinic, ambulance and other equipment as well as support the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
The responsibilities of this role will include:
- Provide immediate medical support to workers attending the clinic and acute medical support to injured workers either in the clinic or at the scene.
- Oversea the stock of medical supplies including storage and disposal.
- Manage the schedule of poisons as per clinic procedure and permit requirements.
- Provide support to the Emergency Response Team during an on-site emergency and be the point of contact for liaison with off-site support such as St Johns and DFES
- Provide and coordinate ERT training and ensure records are maintained in the appropriate training registers.
- Support leaders in the recruitment and onboarding of new ERT members.
- Undertake personal sampling of workers for noise and dust exposure as per the Health and Hygiene Plan.
- Assist site with Injury management issues.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Health Care.
- Minimum 5 years? experience as a paramedic.
- Ideally, 1 years? experience in a mining or mineral processing environment.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation.
- Capability of working autonomously, being self-sufficient and meeting deadlines.
- Capacity to juggle multiple tasks.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety systems.
