The Role & The Team
As a Senior Commercial Advisor within the Procurement and Commercial Services branch, you will play a pivotal role in managing commercial activities for the CMATS OneSKY Program. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic guidance, managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement rules, and fostering stakeholder engagement. You will report to the OneSKY Commercial & Legal Advisor and the OneSKY & Aerospace Head of Transformation.
Your typical day involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimise contractual outcomes, conducting negotiations, and assessing emerging commercial risks. You'll lead procurement activities, provide contract management services, and contribute to program governance meetings. Additionally, your appetite for continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation in commercial practices will stand you in good stead.
You will join a dynamic team committed to achieving value for money outcomes and driving supplier performance excellence within the OneSKY CMATS Program. The Person
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive commercial professional with a proven track record in managing complex contracts and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Your “hands on” approach and positive mindset through a mix of remote and office based working across various stakeholders will ensure your many successes ahead.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in complex contract management and supplier performance management managing high value dollar contractual outcomes.
- Proven ability to provide strategic guidance and manage commercial activities within a matrix environment.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement rules and value for money principles.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, or related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of procurement and commercial systems and processes.
