We are a fast growing independent pet store looking for a new member of our team to join us in a super important role - processing our Online Orders and assisting in our stores areas.

We absolutely love changing the lives of our furry friends (& their guardians) through the supply of species-appropriate nutrition, natural remedies, preventative health solutions, accessories and humane walking equipment.

About this role
This role is perfect for someone who wants to work mornings and flex their work around school hours or other commitments like study.
You’ll be fully trained in your role and then given the responsibility and autonomy to come in and run with your responsibilities which will include:
- Picking & Packing - Printing Online Orders, accurately & carefully picking & packing the stock in an appropriate way
- Confirming orders with customers - Sometimes you’ll need to communicate with our customers to confirm the details of their order
- Preparing Orders for Shipment - Accurately creating a shipment label & writing a handwritten note
- Delivering items to Post office - Using your own vehicle you’ll visit the post office on a daily basis ensuring our customers get their deliveries ASAP
- Supplier Deliveries - Receiving deliveries into the warehouse including unpacking boxes, checking off, pricing stock and entering items into our software system. You’ll also report on missing / incorrect / damaged items.
- Stock Organisation - Packing stock away including physically lifting and moving heavy bags (up to 20kgs) into both dry & freezer storage
- Store Presentation - Tidying merchandise, picking up rubbish & cleaning up the occasional accident by our furry friends
- Re-Stocking - Auditing in-store shelves & restocking as necessary.
- Product Preparation - Accurately following our unique process to create our Aussie Pooch products includes weighing, packaging, sealing and preparing item for sales
- General Tidying, Cleaning & Organising our warehouse & storage areas
About YOU
We’re looking for someone who wants to join our fun, friendly team and settle into a long term role with us and take responsibility for this important area of our business.
We’ll provide you with the training you need to get up to speed and coupled with your high attention to detail, super organisational skills and knack for efficiency you’ll be quickly up to speed and taking responsibility for your day to day role.
To thrive in this role, you will:
- Have prior work experience in a hands-on position where you have had to be highly organised, fast, efficient and accurate.
- Have laser focused attention to detail and be a stickler for presentation
- Have good technology skills so you can learn our systems quickly and use them accurately.
- Have a can-do, problem solving attitude
- Have a keen willingness to learn and follow our processes
- Be able to work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Have the ability & willingness to lift heavy bags (up to 20kgs)
- Be ok with handling raw meat products as part of the preparation of our AP products
- Be OK with working in our walk-in freezer (don’t worry, we’ll provide you with what you need to stay warm!)
