The role
Our team is growing quickly and we are now seeking to engage a Business Systems Analyst on a six month Fixed Term Contract. In this capacity, the successful applicant will support our Software Development Manager by defining Permit System product requirements based on customer and market analysis to meet the vision of our new development project.

You will contribute and make an impact through:
- Understanding stakeholder requirements through the analysis of current market and client business processes:
- from current clients (directly from clients, potential workshops and or other requirements gathering activities);
- from existing permit systems and competitor systems;
- by developing gap analysis reports.
- Identifying and defining product requirements:
- Including functional and non-functional requirements.
- New tasks to improve efficiencies and improve benefits to users.
- Identifying improvement opportunities.
- Documenting product features:
- To be user stories.
- Required development tasks - Including constraints and edge cases.
- Supporting applications testing.
- Building and maintaining effective internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure satisfactory delivery outcomes.
- Building trust and integrity, by consistently applying ethical actions, transparent communications and commitments with internal and external stakeholders.
We don’t think that one size fits all, but the successful candidate would ideally have the following:
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, particularly in an infrastructure and technology environment is essential.
- Experience working within the public sector and/or local government would be highly advantageous.
- A proven ability to communicate and engage effectively across a team is a must. As are organisational skills and very high levels of attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and influencing skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated project management and organisational skills and experience, including the ability to interpret and communicate complex requirements within tight deadlines.
