About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Operational Accountant to manage the financial activities of the LCA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, enjoy being hands on in the day to day financial operations and possess excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monitor budget performance throughout the year.
- Managing of bank accounts, including detailed reconciliation of all clearing accounts.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for annual audits.
- Prepare and file required tax forms and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Support financial planning and decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial information.
- Have a relational approach in dealing with various teams and maintaining strong communication.
- Provide financial support and guidance to LCA and committees as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail and respect of the organisations values.
