Join a dynamic and progressive organization in our Engineering team as an Operations Engineer at Isis Central Sugar Mill. As an integral part of our ongoing development, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between production and maintenance during both crushing and maintenance periods.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conduct failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) on critical equipment to identify potential issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Perform lost time and failure analysis, utilizing data to drive improvement plans and formulate capital investment strategies.
- Strive to increase the proportion of planned work versus breakdown and unplanned tasks to optimize equipment reliability.
- Establish the priority of breakdown work, ensuring maintenance efforts are aligned to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
- Support and actively participate in workplace health and safety (WHS) programs, initiatives, and compliance with all site policies and procedures.
- Aim to achieve zero injuries for the work team through proactive safety measures.
About you:
- Tertiary / Trade qualification desirable but not essential.
- Experience in operations and maintenance within a manufacturing or heavy industry setting, preferably in the sugar or agricultural sector.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Proficiency in failure mode and effect analysis methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive process improvements.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
