Your opportunity: Our Network Engineering team have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced and passionate Operational Reliability Leader to join their team and work on interesting and rewarding projects that you won’t find elsewhere. The Network Engineering Team is accountable for ensuring operational performance of 9500km water network and 9700km wastewater network by delivering operational strategies, configurations, plans and protocols to ensure resilience of service performance and protect public health, deliver an exceptional customer experience, minimize cost in the long run and ensure compliance with our regulatory obligations and safe drinking water requirements. Reporting to the Network Engineering Manager, the Operational Reliability Leader is accountable to lead the team in ensuring the operational reliability of our water and wastewater network. Success in this role will be measured by how well the water and wastewater network performs over the long-term including the availability and suitability of contingency and supply disruption plans; how well systemic performance issues are resolved to ensure long term performance trends enable the achievement of network health indicators, including asset availability, water quality, NRW, and sewer containment are achieved. About you: A relevant degree qualification in engineering Experience or qualifications in hydraulics, production planning or water chemistry would be highly regarded Demonstrated ability to understand the technical dimensions of operating a water utility and the associated regulatory obligations Superior stakeholder management with strong interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to translate a highly technical topic into corporate terms to effectively communicate opportunities and risk Demonstrated ability to manage and shift priorities as required in support of changing business needs Experience and a passion for being a great leader with demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members Demonstrated ability to manage trade-offs, balancing operational, capital, commercial, customer & performance outcomes to achieve best for business solutions.
