An exciting opportunity exists for an Operational Readiness Lead to join our mighty Snowy Quality and Asset Management Services team in Cooma! You will play a fundamental part in project delivery and ensure all aspects of the project are ready to be handed over to the Client by ensuring a smooth transition to business as usual.
This role is responsible for providing assurance that business critical updates are completed across Technology, Capital and Major Outages project streams. To be successful in this role you will have the ability to lead and influence others in order to achieve project requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the Operational Readiness function, ensuring that critical information to operate and maintain SHL's assets remains current and reliable.
Liaising with Operational management to determine Operational Readiness priorities.
Management of methodologies and processes to ensure all project delivery streams i.e. major outages, technology and capital project works achieve the OR targets.
Developing, engaging, and managing key external resources to ensure OR processes and tasks are planned and delivered.
Supporting Project Managers to progress OR by working with them to establish plans that reflect business needs early in the project planning process.
Monitoring progress of OR activities, reporting significant delays to Senior Management and engaging external service providers directly to complete overdue tasks.
Developing third party supplier agreements and managing external contractors as required
Ensuring knowledge transfer to the business by coordinating updates for documentation, operational system, training material and the generation engineering course.
Accountability for the ongoing strategic review and continuous improvement of OR processes.
We're looking for someone with:
Degree qualified or a minimum of level Cert IV qualification is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management and industry related fields.
Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, environmental controls, risk assessment methods and preparation of site management documentation.
Ability to build relationships and manage/influence key business stakeholders across all levels of the business.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised, customer driven individual with strong initiative and the willingness to learn.
