Role – OT Asset and Project Officer

About the role

Provide a full range of specialist services that support management and staff of Operational Technology (OT) in achieving their business outcomes, including a range of services that assist SCADA/IICATS systems such as OT project administration and full ownership of OT asset inventory management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This is a key supporting role of all the OT projects and support services, and it is expected to work with multiple teams across Sydney Water to ensure successful delivery of OT projects liaising with a number of stakeholders:

  • Corporate Procurement, Accounting and Finance;
  • Digital – Commercial and Contracts; Portfolio Management Office;
  • Networks and Customer Hub (Programs and Operations) - Addressing operational needs and system support.
  • Production - Water and Wastewater – Addressing operational needs and system support.
  • SCADA Service Providers – Water and Wastewater – Ongoing support and maintenance services and renewals projects implementation.
  • Regional Delivery Consortia – Assist RDC in engaging SMART/SAGE Automation for SCADA services, provide status report to RDC projects on SCADA works
  • Corporate assurance – for alignment of reporting and quality assurance processes.
  • Working across multiple OT, Digital and other teams to ensure compliance with established processes for OT hardware lifecycle and for SCADA/IICATS projects execution.
  • Ensure that OT administration is effective and aligned to Corporate and Digital processes.
  • Being flexible and quickly adaptive to changes in priorities, tasks and schedule are also key in the success of this role.
  • With Sydney Water balancing office and remote working, being independent, autonomous with minimum supervision, reliable and accountable are key success factors.

About you

  • Practical knowledge of best practices and industry standards for asset management (eg ISO 55000)
  • Knowledge of IICATS/SCADA equipment and spares movement process.
  • Knowledge of SAP System and specifically Sydney Water’s BxP implementation of SAP.
  • Practical knowledge of fundamentals of project and service management.
  • Ability to plan organise and prioritise a range of administration and general business support to management &/or team(s) in accordance with timetable and standards imposed.
  • Experience in the use of Corporate Business Information systems to record, interrogate and report information including OT Configuration Database (CDB), MAXIMO and Sydney Water’s BxP implementation of SAP.
  • Experience in providing Project Administration and Office Administration services.
  • Experience in using office software applications to store, analyse, report and present business information.
  • Knowledge of Sydney Water’s Procurement and Contracts Standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of effective quality control and audit trail in both engineering and system administrative functions.
  • Success in working in team/s to achieve business outcomes.
  • Ability to engage with people at all levels in the organisation and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships between the team, product delivery partners and service providers.
  • Commitment to on-going learning and personal development.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to liaise with Sydney Water Corporation’s personnel and external parties at all levels.
