About the Role
Britetech is looking for an experienced full-time Operational Technology Technician, starting as soon as possible.Reporting to the operations manager, as a Operational Technology Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and evaluation of communication systems.
A successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years’ experience working on Surface mines throughout Australia.
- Experience rolling out technology projects in the mining and construction sectors - specifically at surface mine sites. Experience working on surface mines.
- Experience in Microwave & Communication systems.
- Experience in assemble, configuration, testing and fully staging solutions prior to shipment to the end user.
- Experience in completing onsite installations in all environments.
- Ability to configure a wide range of 3rd party equipment.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace both in an office and field environment.
- Understanding software tools and common RF survey and modelling tools.
- Knowledge of IP network technologies.
- The ability to read and understand a wide variety of drawings including mechanical, electrical, electronic circuits, schematics, mine plans, survey drawings etc.
- A basic ability to conceptualise mechanical aspects of equipment housings, brackets etc. as required to mount hardware.
