Randstad is currently working with a market leading client in the FMCG industry who are looking for an Operations and Finance Administrations Officer to join their team. This company is based in the Southern suburbs of Brisbane. You would be part of a family orientated company, friendly dedicated team focused on leading teams to achieving and increasing business growth. The role is a 6 months fixed term contract, with view to permanancy and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to change careers, try something new - in a stable full time position - competitive hourly rate.The ideal candidate will have a broad range of administration experience in finance and operations, enjoy complexity and variety in a role and an excellent work ethic.About the role: The Operations and Finance Administration Officer is responsible for reviewing and analysing the Finance and Operations reports and accounts, and liaising with appropriate local and Head Office staff to finalise and address issues as they arise.Tasks and duties include:Work with Head Office team to resolve any issues with Journal processingReconcile Head Office reports to local formatPrepare commentary for submission to Head Office Review manifest and communicate issues to relevant staff for update / correctionReview revenue, pricing, margin issuesCoordinate finalisation of manifests with Head OfficeReview statement as provided by Head OfficeObtain invoices as required and match to the statementCode invoices to applicable GL accountObtain signatures and approvalsAssist with other ad hoc Operational issues and tasks as directedAbout you: Strong organisational and time management skillsMicrosoft Excel - able to create formulas, extract information into different forms of reporting (the ability to write reports in Excel an added advantage. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to all stakeholdersExperience in a similar role or a role with Operations and accounts / finance duties and tasksBackground in FMCG or Transport and Logistics highly desirableWilling to commit to working 6 months in this positionAbility to learn new software systems quicklySelf-motivated approach to work including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, keep focused under pressureAbility to adhere to developed standards, policies and procedures in all circumstances and resolve problems that may ariseTake a proactive approach to tasksKnowledge of SAP and /or Microsoft 365 highly desirableStrong work ethic, high attention to detail, analytic and problem-solving skills Ability to build relationships and negotiate at all levels Respond to all queries in a courteous, prompt, accurate and confidential mannerAbility to remain flexible to be able to meet unexpected demands on timeCommitment to working in a team environment and providing support where requiredIf you tick all the boxes for this position and are looking for your next long term stable role with a growing company, please apply now!
