Form of workAt Kustom Timber, we're on the lookout for a dynamic Operations Assistant to become an integral part of our close-knit team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with project managers, customers and kustom tradespeople, providing crucial administrative and logistical support.

Based in Melbourne with high-end Showrooms in South Yarra, Mornington and Geelong, Kustom Timber delivers end to end turnkey service – a company first for engineered timber flooring specialists in Australia. Treading the industry boards since 2013, it is involved in all facets of the supply, install and preservation of responsibly sourced premium European Oak for residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate timely delivery of materials and machinery to project sites.
- Act as a liaison between customers, tradespeople, and management.
- Utilise software tools to facilitate the transition of tenders into projects.
- Review and ensure accurate creation of job details using software.
- Generate purchase orders, manage variations, and create invoices.
- Organise deliveries, monitor pick slips and maintain accurate cost allocation.
- Liaise with logistics suppliers and manage stock reports.
- Monitor inventory and stock levels.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between Operations and Sales teams.
- Provide support to the sales team, including sample management.
- Engage in customer communication for job bookings and maintenance scheduling.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of project management and cost analysis.
- Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Prior administrative or operations experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
