Operations and Logistics Assistant

We are searching for a dynamic and motivated Operations and Logistics Assistant to join the team at Kustom Timber South Yarra!

At Kustom Timber, we're on the lookout for a dynamic Operations Assistant to become an integral part of our close-knit team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with project managers, customers, tradespeople, and suppliers, providing crucial administrative and logistical support. This is hands on roll with a mix of office, site and warehouse work as one of your main tasks is to ensure the quality of product arriving from our partners before it is delivered to site.

Based in Melbourne with high-end Showrooms in South Yarra, Mornington and Geelong, Kustom Timber delivers end to end turnkey service – a company first for engineered timber flooring specialists in Australia. Established in 2013, we are involved in all facets of the supply, install and preservation of responsibly sourced premium European Oak for residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Utilise software tools to facilitate the transition of tenders into projects.
• Review and ensure accurate creation of job details using software (Unleashed).
• Generate purchase orders to suppliers – local and overseas
• Organise deliveries and maintain accurate cost allocation.
• Provide support to the sales team, including stock management
• Liaise with logistics suppliers and manage stock reports.
• Review quality control reports and ensuring stock is to specification
• On-site inspections and reporting to suppliers
• Ensure client samples are to specification

• Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
