This is a fantastic opportunity to join an Australian owned and operated business specializing in Office Products as the Warehouse Assistant / Purchasing Officer.
The Opportunity
This is a busy and varied position in which you will be ordering stock, entering sales and purchase orders, and controlling all invoicing. You will be coordinating the purchasing, receipting, recording, monitoring, and despatching of goods within the company.
You will also be responsible for inventory control, speaking with suppliers and arranging couriers.
You will pick and pack orders, as well as attend to incoming stock. Most orders will be arranged via booking couriers online however you will be required to deliver some local orders using the company’s automatic vehicle.
Requirements:
- Full drivers’ licence
- 1-3 years of previous experience in a similar purchasing position
- Warehouse experience
- Effective time management skills
- Strong sense of urgency and can-do attitude
- Be confident, self-motivated and pro-active
- Strong computer skills are essential (MYOB experience would be ideal)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
You will take pride in your work and be enthusiastic and eager to learn. You will need to be able to think on your feet.
The hours for this position are 9am-3pm Monday – Friday with ½ hour lunch break (27.5 hours each week).
The salary for this position is $30 per hour plus superannuation.
