The low down
This isn’t your average Operations Assistant role. We’re looking for an individual with a self starter mentality who wants to be part of building our incredible business. This diverse and dynamic role encompasses office management, schedule management for the CEO and a mix of anything and everything the office needs to operate smoothly and be a welcoming and comfortable place for our team to work and visit.
This newly created role will be on offer as a 6 month contract, with possibility to extend. The ideal candidate will be able to work part-time hours spread across 4-5 days per week. If you’re currently in a full-time position, we may be able to split your time between Operations and Customer Support.
Key aspects of role
This is a dual role supporting the general operations of the Honey office, as well as calendar management for Exec. You’ll be guided by Shivon, as well as the broader Operations LT.
- Ensure our office space is well-maintained and equipped with necessary supplies and equipment. This includes managing office inventory, ordering supplies and coordinating maintenance services.
- Work with Exec to assist with calendar management and meeting schedules (according to the needs of each).
- Manage the Honey merch and monthly birthday celebrations.
- Support with the set-up of weekly All Bees stand-up and monthly All Hands meetings.
- Work with Honey’s Kulture Klub to assist with the delivery of events & celebrations
- These are the basic responsibilities today but, as Honey and the position evolve, you may be provided with different functions to support Honey Insurance.

- You’re confident and customer oriented. You must be proactive, conscientious, creative and have a high delivery mindset.
- You have the ability to prioritise the needs of the business and multitask multiple priorities.
- You possess a customer oriented approach and enjoy working with others.
- You can communicate clearly and professionally using a variety of channels.
- Great organisation and time management skills will support you greatly in this role.
